Robotics Focus Groups

PROTO invites aspiring engineers to campus two Saturdays in November for robotics sessions!

PROTO is looking for your help to enhance our robotics kit and develop our teaching approach for students. The feedback gained from these sessions will be used as we scale our robotics kit platform to new students and schools next spring. These hands-on robotics sessions are split over two dates on Saturday, November 9th and Saturday, November 16th, both from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. This offering is free and open to students of any skill level.

These sessions are designed around the classroom-style learning experience. On November 9th, students will dive into mechanical engineering concepts, while the November 16th session will focus on electrical engineering and computer science. Both sessions will begin with a 20 minute presentation from PROTO's teaching team, followed by over 90 minutes of hands on worktime with our robotics kit, guided by our team members. Students will also have the chance to share feedback on their experience.

Space is limited and student attendance will be confirmed by Friday, November 1st. Transportation to/from UNL's City Campus is not provided. Parking is available for free for parents/participants on campus with registration. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided midway through each session. Expressions of Interest will close Friday, November 1st at 11:59 PM.
